You can only embed individual video/audio media to Canvas or other websites. Images and PDFs are not supported.
Getting the Embed Code
- Click Watch & Discuss.
- Using the Course, Playlist-Assignments-Groups, and Media drop-down menus, navigate to the media file you would like to embed
- Click the Share icon in the top right hand corner.
- Customize the appearance of the player by checking/unchecking the following three options:
-
- Add the “discuss this media” button under the minimal player. This includes a link below the media player so users can easily go to the CLAS application to participate in annotations/comments.
- Conserve vertical space as much as possible (“audio only player”). This will customize the player to only display the media player bar.
- Tiny embed (show only a play button). This will customize the player to only show the play button.
- Control the media play settings:
- Limit the maximum number of times a media can be played within x number of seconds.
- Determine the start time of where the media should start and stop playing.
- Copy the embed code and paste it where you want the video to be embedded.
