Annotate Image

Images can be annotated by selecting an area on the image. You can attach text, video, or audio annotations to an image.

Image Annotation Interface

When viewing an image, a toolbar will appear at the bottom of the image. The functions of each button, displayed left to right, is outlined below:

  1. Arrow – Draw an arrow annotation
  2. Dot – Draw a dot annotation
  3. Circle – Draw a circle annotation
  4. Rectangle – Draw a rectangle annotation
  5. Trash – Delete your annotation
  6. Move – Click to move and resize your drawing
  7. Pan – Click on the image and drag to pan across it
  8. Zoom in – Click to zoom into the image
  9. Zoom out – Click to zoom out of the image
  10. Fullscreen – Click to make the image fullscreen
  11. Undo – Undo a unintentional move to an object in the image
  12. Redo – Redo a move to an object in the image
  13. Reset Zoom – Click to return to the original zoom level
  14. Hide Text – Click to hide the text of annotations but keep the drawing
  15. Hide Drawings and Text – Click to view the image without any annotations

Add an Annotation

  1. Select an area in the image by using the arrow, dot, circle, or rectangle tools and a new comment box will pop up.
  2. Decide on the type of annotation you want to add:
    1. Text annotation
    2. Audio annotation
    3. Video annotation
  3. Click Save

Reply to an Annotation

  1. In the right panel, click on the Reply located below each annotation comment.
  2. A text box will appear for you to reply with text, audio, or video.
  3. (Optional) Check the box beside “Private” if you only want the author of the comment to see your reply
  4. Click Save
