Images can be annotated by selecting an area on the image. You can attach text, video, or audio annotations to an image.
Image Annotation Interface
When viewing an image, a toolbar will appear at the bottom of the image. The functions of each button, displayed left to right, is outlined below:
- Arrow – Draw an arrow annotation
- Dot – Draw a dot annotation
- Circle – Draw a circle annotation
- Rectangle – Draw a rectangle annotation
- Trash – Delete your annotation
- Move – Click to move and resize your drawing
- Pan – Click on the image and drag to pan across it
- Zoom in – Click to zoom into the image
- Zoom out – Click to zoom out of the image
- Fullscreen – Click to make the image fullscreen
- Undo – Undo a unintentional move to an object in the image
- Redo – Redo a move to an object in the image
- Reset Zoom – Click to return to the original zoom level
- Hide Text – Click to hide the text of annotations but keep the drawing
- Hide Drawings and Text – Click to view the image without any annotations
Add an Annotation
- Select an area in the image by using the arrow, dot, circle, or rectangle tools and a new comment box will pop up.
- Decide on the type of annotation you want to add:
- Click Save
Reply to an Annotation
- In the right panel, click on the Reply located below each annotation comment.
- A text box will appear for you to reply with text, audio, or video.
- (Optional) Check the box beside “Private” if you only want the author of the comment to see your reply
- Click Save
